tender nostalgia

In tender nostalgia, I am delivering a sentimental and intimate insight into Southeast London’s Peckham, where I have spent a lot of my upbringing and childhood.

The photographs and poetic text display the shift from child to adult that I experienced upon returning home. The piece contains an epiphany; although a place may appear the same in heart, it is ever-changing. There is the fragile element of hope woven throughout this forced acceptance, longing for the familiar homeland to be as it once was, but knowing it will not be the same.
